Future Engineers Camp – Week Two

In the second week of Future Engineers Camp, our students learned about circuits and wiring, voltage and electricity and the design process. The campers have received a challenge to create a wearable LED device – which will consist of a 9v battery for each set of 3 LEDs . Each student has 2 strings of LEDs (3 lights on each string), and 2 9v batteries. They can choose from a few different fabrics to create their wearable design, and we provide them with velcro, string, hot glue and pipe cleaners to fasten their circuits to the fabric. When the students are finished creating their wearable circuits, they can team up with up to 4 other students in the room and make up a dance to Lady Gaga’s song “Born This Way.” One member can either wear all of the groups’ circuits or all of the group members can wear their own and perform their dance together.

Stay tuned for videos of the dances!!!
